18 months is such a fun age!! From the moment I open Willows door in the mornings I am greeted with a big, cheeky grin of massive happiness proportions. Her smile is infectious. As soon as she sees me she is pointing out things around the room. The PIG, the DUCK, the DOG on the wall... her favourite toys on the floor or the little birdy on her floor matt... She is completely taken by the mystery of the world and all the wonder it has to offer. Every day is an adventure and every THING is exciting!!
Yesterday i chased my baby girl around the house with my camera and captured her being as cute, funny and beautiful as only she can be...
At the moment she LOVES textas... i know that wont change any time soon and to be honest, it kinda scares me. She looks like she is armed and ready to mark any surface she happens to see. When she stands on our white rug in her play area (what were we thinking??) she gives me heart palpitations...
She takes them everywhere and nothing is safe....
Not even my camera...
She has also discovered another simple pleasure - running. She likes to run up and down the deck outside.
I love this shot of her stopping and thinking for a moment - texta in mouth. I can see her doing this with a pen when she's older, stopping and thinking for a moment before she writes down her answer.
She is a happy little person. She reminds me to keep smiling.
Don't be fooled...she is not unhappy here she is 'posing'... already!
Rolling around on the floor being tickled is one of her favourite things to do. She also enjoys 'reading'. She has a fascination with a book about babies at the moment. I wonder why...? I love her little toes
I love how honest she is as a person. There is no pretence, she is as she is. Ironically she is as ladylike as i am. ;-)
She is learning that when she wants something she just needs to point to it. I tell her to use her words but lets be honest....its easier to point!
We got some little chickens recently and she LOVES going to see them
They are very sweet and only 9 weeks old. Willow can fit inside their cage standing straight.
When we are in the yard we go and see the veggie garden and look at all the things growing
Every now and then she likes to come and hug me and make sure i am still there.
But then she runs off and plays under her favourite tree.
She is getting better and better walking up and down the stairs now - she holds out her hands like little wings while she walks up to the house
One of our favourite places at the moment. Our beautiful big backyard.
