Shooting with Soul - December
I am part of an amazing (and inspiring!) group of photographers who have successful businesses but also constantly search to improve and push their limits whilst shooting personal work. They love to challenge themselves and shoot outside the box. Each month we do a beautiful blog circle that links to each others blogs one after the other and the point is to go around in a circle. It is a great way to inspire each other and keep our individual passions alive. :) This is my post...with the next one linked in below these images...
November was been an exciting month! We had a driving holiday all the way to Melbourne, my brothers wedding - in the amazingly picturesque Yarra Valley, caught up with lots of friends and family, and have been very busy photographing everything from Effie (YES! Mary Coustas) to weddings, and preschool kids to family portraits. I have also found out one of my favourite weddings is going to be featured in the upcoming edition of Country LIving magazine - so I am excited! It has been a busy and fulfilling month filled with lots of family time but lots of work too. Those are the best times, when the weather is good and work/life feels balanced. Plus Christmas is coming up and everyone is buzzing with energy and the need to get organised. Its a little contagious! Here are a few images from the last month... starting with sunrise as we left home..
Our first stop was Canberra - Oh the things we get up to in hotel rooms...
The little faces that make every day so bright...
Hotel phones are fun..even unplugged ones...
Exploring the gorgeous parks in Canberra. Such a picturesque place, especially in Spring.
Up and off at 4am to make the most of sleeping children while we travel... we have a looong way to go... 7 hours today actually.
Because my husband is the best in the world he is happy to stop and let me take a few frames while the sun rises. The sun itself didn't put on much of a show but i had better subjects than that anyway ;-)
Stopping to stretch the legs...
Little Finn wandering around the Enchanted Adventure Garden
Little ladies? Not so much...
The gorgeous church at Immerse Winery where my brother married the love of his life. :) Such an amazing day... I don't have many photos as I was a bridesmaid and had a turn in *front* of the camera.
Exploring the stunning Toolangi State Forest the day after the wedding. It was 5 degrees, misty and so very peaceful.
The kids slept while we enjoyed the amazing forest.
We had this amazing little visitor land on our mirror when we stopped.. it was fascinated with its reflection in the mirror and kept flying at itself. I had never had such a close encounter with a bird like this before. We loved it.
I cannot recommend Sanctuary Park Cottages highly enough! They were so peaceful and it was a truly stunning place.
We also got to stop off and visit my oldest friend and her gorgeous family. So Thankful we were able to do this.
I love Little Tara's expression here... clearly the chook thought she should have been the focus of the photos.
After the long long trip back up the coast we stopped for a few days at Nan & Pops... so nice to relax after all the travelling. And the end of our holiday. :)
Today I am linking up to the talented Natasha Kelly of Natasha Kelly Photography ! Be sure to click the link and follow the circle. :)
