A Trio of Love
A little while ago some may remember I attempted my own family photo session with my 2.5 year old, 12 week old, whippet, husband and of course - myself. I had deliriously thought I could employ Mr Tripod and (in some miracle from the Gods) be able to create an amazing image of my nearest and dearest all together. I got a photo (or twenty - or lets be honest, probably 25 - my husband is particularly patient) but none of them were lovely relaxed images of my family as I had wanted to remember us. The one photo that I do like has my husband and I looking Ok - we are at least *looking* at the camera - BUT with my husband literally wrangling our 3 kids (12 week old slumped over looking at the ground, 2.5 year old locked in position by my husband as he struggles to keep our whippet from galloping off leaving us in his dust). Its not ideal but it has its memories and I still cherish it. I even put it on Facebook! And I am so glad I did because it seemed that many other photographers got it. They too understood the importance of beautiful family photos of them together with their loved ones and had obviously tried, sometimes with great success and other times, not so much. However, the reason I am so Thankful I shared this challenge with the Facebook community is that I had a beautiful offer from another photographer to do a family session swap. Linda took these images of us and I love them:
In turn I did a session for Linda and her beautiful family. Their little lady was pure delight and had THE sweetest little face with such expressive eyes! We had a lovely relaxed time exploring some of the natural wonders of the Central Coast. We got the 'golden light' that Linda had wanted and some beautiful close family moments. Not to forget the many endearing and gorgeous expressions of Little K. Scrolling down you will see - the second last image is a crack up - she is just too cute!!!
